INTRODUCTION
Certificate Course on Geographical Tools and Techniques for Earth Observation in Teaching and Research
In response to the growing need for technically proficient geographers and Earth scientists, this short-term course titled “Modern Tools and Techniques in Contemporary Geography” has been designed to equip students with essential modern-day geographical tools and applications. The discipline of Geography is increasingly leaning toward data-driven, field-intensive, and geospatial techniques, making it imperative for students to gain exposure to practical, analytical, and computational methods.
This course will be delivered through a blended mode, primarily conducted online during evening hours to accommodate academic schedules, and will offer both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, supplemented by a short field trip (optional, with extra cost).
OBJECTIVES
