Sabita - Online Journal For Studies In The Humanities

Aims and Scope

Introduction

The importance of online publicationsis today recognised by most institutions, especially in a pandemic and post-pandemic world that has witnessed a paradigm shift in the field of education including research, from face-to-face interaction between student and teacher in a classroom to a new digital interface, forced to adapt and improvise according to the needs of the situation. While the print medium represents a more conventional and stable publication option for those engaged in serious research and similar academic activities, online/digital publications represent a relatively more convenient one, since these

  • can reach out to a significantly larger section of readers

and

  • save both time and expense since they do not involve printing while at the same time maintaining the print layout in a digital format.

ABOUT SABITA
Sabita is the online journal in which we present a collection of research-oriented studies, selected through a strict process of referral, on areas within the broad spectrum of Humanities.
সবিতা/ Sabita, the name means ‘the sun’, and by implication, ‘giver of life’.  সবিতৃ/ Sabitry from which it is derived, means ‘one who brings to birth’.
As the ‘sun’ Sabita is therefore the source of enlightenment, that leads to truth and wisdom, and as ‘giver of life’, symbolises the creative principle. We hope to have enshrined these twin ideas in this new venture, in pursuance of which we invite academics, students, researchers, and anyone interested in the field of Humanities to contribute to the journal.
