Asutosh College common room is the place for the recreation of the students in the recesses. It gives students relief from the stress and strain .

It is furnished with a long table for playing table tennis, small tables and chairs for playing chess and the relevant sports goods. It is decorated with portrait of the national personalities.

Students have to be tolerant and must develop a spirit of sharing with and caring for each other.

Here Students enjoy various indoor games, play chess, table tennis, carom, etc. in their off periods. Sometimes, student leaders address general students to make them aware of their problems.

Common room provides the students with immense facilities which help them to develop their potentials in extra-academic activities.

Various competitions are held here to search their talents. Yoga practice are held here to enrich themselves. Womens' karate trainer every week trains the girl students with this self defence programme.

Saraswati Puja is celebrated here every year. Rabindra Jayanti and Birthday of all our national personalities are celebrated here. Students and teachers are united here in all these events.
