About the Course

INTRODUCTION

The Basic Computer Course and Web Designing programme of Asutosh College has been introduced with an idea of imparting basic level of computer literacy to the students, thereby enabling them to disseminate knowledge on all aspects of Information, Electronics & Communication Technology in different walks of life. The curriculum of the programme is designed in equivalence to Course on Computer Concept (CCC), offered by National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (erstwhile DOEACC Society), where the students acquire knowledge on using the computer for basic purposes of preparing personnel/business letters, viewing information on internet (the web), receiving and sending mails, preparing presentations, creation and maintenance of small databases, designing of web pages etc. Hence, this course helps the students to develop their IT skills towards appropriate ends.

THE BEGINNING

The Unit has been set up in 01/07/2019, under the leadership of Sri Arnab Kumar Ghoshal, Assistant Professor in Computer Science.

OBJECTIVES

• To provide job oriented education & training.
• To provide opportunity for the study of modern methods of information processing and its applications.
• To acquaint students with the knowledge of computer systems with emphasis on their uses and limitation.
• To develop among students the programming techniques and the problem solving skills through programming.
