Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, in the year 2015, has outlined a methodology to rank institutions across the country, which is popularly known as The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). Under this framework, an institution is assessed by the certain parameters like "Teaching, Learning and Resources", "Research and Professional Practices", "Graduation Outcomes", "Outreach and Inclusivity" and "Perception". After assessing on the said parameters, Ministry of Human Resource Development will provide a score and prepare a list of top-100 colleges in India.

Asutosh College has started participating in NIRF from the year 2021, for which a committee is formed to look after how the institution can improve itself in terms of the above parameters.
