Internet has transformed the way we communicate, make friends, share updates, play games, and shop and become an integral part of our daily life. Students spend a lot of time online, whether working or socializing. All of that network traffic and Wi-Fi usage makes it easy for hackers to make their way in through a vulnerability in a device. With increasing use of cyberspace, cybercrimes especially against women and children such as cyber stalking, cyber bullying, cyber harassment, embarrassing photo, financial frauds, human trafficking etc. are also increasing rapidly. Cyberspace connects our students virtually with crores of online users across the globe for further studies, research work, job opportunities etc.

Education is one of the important sectors for dissemination of information on prevention of cyber-crimes and reiterated that students can act, as a force multiplier to create an ecosystem for cyber security. To stay safe in the online world, students and staffs need to be educated on cybercrime and follow some cyber safe practices like Cyber laws, Cyber safety, concept and use of cyber hygiene in daily life, electronics payments and safeguards, putting up awareness, publicity posters, banner in premises which may help in making our online experience and productive.
