First of all, I would like to convey my gratitude and deep regards to Prof. Abhik Kundu sir and the other professors for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this esteemed department of Asutosh College. The teaching learning experience with Lab support is one of best in West Bengal though we are the 1st Master's Batch of this department. Furthermore, We got the placement from the campus interview to a Geological Consultancy that helps us to build our career in Geology domain. Thank you very much for everything ?? |

Teachers are very friendly and very cooperative with us. If I face any difficulty during my studies, they help me without any hesitation. Laboratory was really good. Each and every equipment is there. In my times a lot of companies hires fresher students. |

Despite being a newly established department, it provides a good learning experience. It offers students opportunity to gain industrial experience through collaborations with some mining companies. The department provides opportunities to the willing candidates to do master's dissertations in the mining consultancies or companies that enhances practical knowledge. The Geology Department of Asutosh College is very much well organised, Faculties are very helpful and friendly. The Department has a modern laboratory equipped with many sophisticated instruments. It has a separate library on its own apart from the Main Central Library. The Department also provide placement support to the students to various companies. The Department has an ambient atmosphere to study, learn and progress. |

The overall environment in the department is extremely homely and professional at the same time. The lab facilities were very good, but there are room for improvement in this aspect. As the group of students was not a very large one, there was enough scope for one-on-one interactions with the professors, which I would say was the best possible way for us to clear doubts and learn any particular topic. |

The department of Applied Geology at Asutosh College (M.Sc.) under University of Calcutta has been setup recently. The authority always tries to provide best faculties for the course. We got opportunities to interact with great minds and experts. The syllabus of M.Sc. was designed in a way that would be beneficial for the students for their future endeavors. The whole of the curriculum has been covered with much efficiency. Throughout the course we got immense support from the teachers, guest lecturers appointed for the course and constant laboratory access has been given to us. Curriculum also included industrial training. Several placement opportunities has also been given to us post completion of the course. |

Professors are very supportive. Syllabus was good, and few renowned visiting professors also increase teaching quality. Professors of Asutosh College tried their best for placement and few companies visited for placements. Lab facility was also good but there are scope to improve lab facilities as well as teaching. Overall good environment. Oceanography and Climatology is important for CSIR -UGC NET. If the subject can add into the syllabus that will help students to clear the exam. |

The department of Applied geology in Asutosh College provides some of the best facilities to the students. The syllabus is thoroughly revised and new topics are implemented for better exposure for the students. Faculties interact and connect to the students very well and provide guidance in every step. The laboratory work and use of different instruments specially during the M.SC thesis enable students to use that experience in future. Even after passing out the faculties in their best abilities try to inform the students about new vacancies. |

We were well taught by professors, on the different topics throughout the 4 semesters of M.Sc. in the 2 years of the course. Aside from that, we were provided with Library Access and other resources to aid our studies. We had lab work, where the professors regularly checked in on us, also helped us, when we needed any kind of assistance. We had our Industrial Training arranged by the Department. Even after completion, we are provided with placement offers as and when available. |

The quality of teaching is quite decent. Our teachers are very supportive and cooperative. They are always ready to help you to shape your future career. Our college has different department building. Classrooms are very comfortable and every room has projector and AC. Our lab is really great and we are provided sufficient equipment and lab samples. In library all books are available which we really need.all things are well managed.In case of placement our department is equally supportive. We also received amazing internship opportunities from Tisco, Zeovale, Sail and others. They also trying to invite companies to come in our college. |
