Asutosh College placement cell along with all the department and teachers therein are ever present to hand hold their students to ‘choose the job they would love’. The cell plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for under graduate and post graduate students.

INTRODUCTION

The Placement Cell is an important part of a developed and competitive institution and is considered as one of the most important unit of an educational institution. Asutosh College Placement Cell has a team of committed experts who always come forward to impart invaluable suggestions for the betterment of the students. The Placement Cell of the College is well networked with Industries and its primary aim is to find a suitable job for our students in reputed companies.

The placement cell has an excellent placement record and has successfully placed a large section of graduates who have appeared for placements. Asutosh College Placement Cell has successfully aided in providing opportunities and employment to its outgoing students.

Asutosh College Placement Cell aims at creating an interface between the world of employment and the academia, thereby making it mutually beneficial to the students/alumni of the Institute. Every year host of companies are invited to the campus to hold recruitments for the students.The cell is committed to create a successful future and better placement opportunity for willing students.

THE BEGINNING

This Cell started working under the leadership of Dr.AbhikKundu, Associate Professor in Geology and other members from 2010.

OBJECTIVES

To shape a bright future for the students
To create awareness among students regarding available career options and help them in identifying career objectives.
To provide employment information as well as information on various courses of higher studies in India and abroad.
To identify suitable potential employers and help them achieve their hiring goals.
To act as a bridge between students, alumni and employers.
To assist our students in obtaining final placement in reputed companies.
To organize campus recruitment for the students with industries and business houses of repute from all over India.

REGULAR ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN BY THE CELL

Organizing workshops that provide insights on relevant topics to the students
Holding training sessions on building aptitude, logical reasoning, qualitative and quantitative skills.
Organizing seminars to strengthen the communication skills of the students such that they can face the bigger world with confidence
Conducting mock interviews for students so as to make them interview ready
Organizing industrial for the students to give them an exposure to the professional work space

To draw potential recruiters to the college
To build a strong alumni network who can be aprime source to bringing in recruiters
To draw strong communication and connection lines between the departments and the placement cell
To counsel students in order to know their areas of interest and map them to a suitable job opportunity
To create a students’ portal that would generate a database of the details of their academic activities and their preferred area of job.
