About the Cell
INTRODUCTION
The Asutosh College Publication Cell was established in April, 2013, the year in which the 150th Birth Anniversary of the college Founder-President, Sir Asutosh Mukherjee, was celebrated by students and staff of the College with appropriate grandeur. Plans for setting up a Publication unit had been mooted earlier, but were finally realised with the successful publication of “Autosh: Vidyar Sarathi”, a commemorative volume on the life and times of Sir Asutosh in June, 2014. This publication was a joint effort by the Publication Division of Asutosh College and the Asutosh Mukherjee Memorial Institute, Kolkata.
THE BEGINNING
The Publication Cell was initially known as the Publication Division. The Division started its work by Dr. Binayak Mishra (Department of Zoology) and other members from 2013. In 2014, the Publication Division was known as the Publication Cell. The Cell started its work by Dr. Sraboni Roy, Associate Professor in English, and other members.
OBJECTIVES
- To suitably archive various research data from the College’s Research Cell.
- To make research outcome available more conveniently through publication.
- To showcase the achievement of the College and to utilize it as for further improvement.
- To publish special Volumes, Magazines and Seminar/Conference/Workshop Proceedings etc.
