On the eve of the Centennial Celebration it was decided that a DVD documenting all the relevant details connected with the hundred-year journey of Asutosh College would be made and be released by the Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Centenary Building of the college by the President of India. Accordingly, preparations were made to contact and interview some of the notable personalities associated with the institution, either as alumnus, member of staff-teaching or support-, or as both, or as part of the administration. The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication took the leading role in this project undertaking the mammoth task of documenting the activities of the various departments and units spread over the five campuses of the college, along with conducting and recording interviews of the Principal, other portfolio-holders, and distinguished alumni. Entitled ‘...and the Journey goes on', the documentary is a faithful record of the milestones in the rich history of the college.
