Introduction
Asutosh College has introduced following three (3) compulsory Certificate Courses which are running successfully since 2019:
- Basic Computer Course & Web Designing in 1 st Semester
- Soft Skills & Communication Development in 3 rd Semester
- Career Counselling and Training Programme in 5 th Semester
From 2022, 17 Optional Job-oriented Certificate courses have been introduced for the students of 2 nd , 4 th & 6 th Semesters. Students shall now have the opportunity to choose from and enrol in a wide variety of Certificate courses. These optional courses, conducted by the different academic departments of the college, have been introduced to give students the opportunity to explore what lies beyond their regular course of study or what is of interest to them beyond the curriculum. In the process, it will also allow them to hone their skills in different areas which will ultimately help them to broaden the scope of career options, choose suitable careers or even open up self-employment opportunities.
Central Certificate Course Management Committee of Asutosh College is responsible to take policy decision for organising and conducting the classes, holding examinations etc. The Committee is mainly established with the purpose to simplify the process of managing the certificate courses offered by various departments. This committee mainly has three functions – taking policy decisions, maintaining the records and administrating various departments to arrange the classes in a systematic way.

Objectives
- To prepare a class schedule and provide a centralized routine .
- To prepare an examination schedule in consultation with examination committee.
- To maintain the records of the certificate courses.
- To prepare the final certificates.
